BentoPet — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

BentoPet is a calm pixel-pet companion. It is designed to be local-first and permission-light. We do not run accounts, ads, tracking, or third-party analytics.

What we store, and where

• On your device: your pets, focus sessions, tiny tasks, bento balance, and settings are stored locally on your device (and, for the widget and Live Activity, in a shared App Group container on the same device).
• iCloud (optional): if you enable iCloud sync (a BentoPet Plus feature), your pet and progress data syncs through your own private iCloud account. We cannot read it; it is governed by Apple's iCloud terms.

Network use

• Pet discovery: browsing the catalog fetches pet artwork and metadata over HTTPS from a curated set of public pixel-pet sources. No personal data is sent — only the request for the artwork you choose to view or adopt.
• First-party "BentoPet 官方" pets are bundled in the app and load fully offline.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, they are used only to remind you when a focus session ends. You can revoke this anytime in iOS Settings.

Purchases (BentoPet Plus)

The optional BentoPet Plus subscription is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive or store your payment information. Purchases can be managed or cancelled in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

What we do NOT collect

No name, email, contacts, location, photos, microphone, health data, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking. BentoPet does not track you across apps or websites.

Children

BentoPet is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because it collects no personal data, no special data-deletion request is needed — uninstalling the app removes local data from the device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.

(BentoPet Plus)
